Ella Hagen, a junior at Summit High, placed second in the Class 4A girls final by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 17:38.0 at the Colorado High School Activities Association Cross Country Championships at Norris Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs. Hagen, last year's Class 4A champion, improved from 17:48.9 last season to help Summit finish fifth with 183 points.
